Integration is where it’s at.

I work at the intersection of ESG, organizational psychology and strategic communications to help senior leaders and teams co-create sustainable and scalable behavior change. How I do this is not the usual “Beh Sci”approach.

We’re in a unique moment right now as organizations, leaders and individuals.

As we rush to counter the climate and ecological crises, it’s hard to avoid feeling overwhelmed by the necessary policy sea change, ESG mandates and sustainability goals, regulations and targets. How can you and your teams “stay in the zone” without getting burnt out?

I’ve been designing tools, guidance and resources to help us meet the moment with resilience rather than reactivity. Much of this draws on best practices in neuroscience, clinical psychology, motivational interviewing, strategic comms, org development and more. We have so much insights to draw on: it’s a matter of integrating it for your specific context. Success in this deep and complex work relies on a strong, trusted relationship and partnership. A “helicopter approach” won’t cut it.

Services

Here’s a bit of the magic that happens.

Consulting

I love consulting and advising teams and leaders who are in positions of true impact and influence. Find a route out of the tremendous levels of pressure you’re facing, both on the business and planetary level. Whether it’s designing a new company structure that supports your sustainability goals, or finding the best way to incite organization-wide dialogue: learn how to adopt the mindset and skill set of a guide, tuning in and helping your team take their impact to a new level.

Strategy

Engagement strategy is such a buzz term. What does it really mean and involve? How do you know if you are successful? Engage key stakeholders through more emotionally intelligent communication. Custom-designed employee engagement and campaign strategies go hand in hand with application tools and skills for new ways of driving change across your organization. (Much of this draws on my work in Project InsideOut, a playbook for engagement.)

Skill + Capability Building

Uncover the essential tools and frameworks to inform your approach to behavior change at scale by drawing on psychological insights and best practices. As well as teaching organizations how to translate their strategy into concrete skills and tools, I also provide an online tools hub that’s open to all at Project InsideOut.

Engagement Process

The unique nature of each team means no project is ever the same. This is where my collaborative approach excels to help you reach your goals in the way that suits your organization.

1

Discovery

I usually begin with a round of conversational interviews and a session with senior leaders to understand the challenges you face. This may be followed by workshops or skill sharing to uncover what needs to shift – and why – to live, work, relate and play from a place of engagement and compassion.

2

Strategy

After writing up what I’m hearing and seeing, I produce playbooks, white papers and other materials to help express your strategy. I also prefer to work in micro-dose sessions, where I join existing meetings, offsites and gatherings. There is only so much a playbook or white paper can do. It’s all in the action.

3

Implementation

The next step in the process is guiding alongside you, as an advisory partner. In this role, I help establish conditions that enable you to meet targets and inner development goals within your organization. This phase can take different forms, for example: sitting in on meetings and offering unique perspectives, or designing a pilot project or campaign.
